Throughout recent years I've come to understand the importance surrounding mental health, albeit through devastating circumstances, I'm glad to be able to see how a community can be formed through shared sadness to bring about awareness for a great cause. Having personally suffered the effects of adverse mental health, the act of seeing others speak out and share similar experiences drove me to do the same and is something I wish to help others do. Those who were able to show me that asking for help is the strongest thing a person can do at that time propelled me to be a better version of myself. Losing a mate to this illness is one of the hardest things one can experience and something I never wish to do again.
