My motivation is the same as last year. Firstly, my dad had prostate cancer in 2018-19 and seeing what he went through and still has to deal with today is motivation enough for me to 'grow a mo' to help raise awareness and fund research for others. Globally, more than 1.4M men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year. Movember is working to halve the number of deaths from prostate cancer by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young. Secondly, I want to also raise money for suicide prevention as a number of colleagues at work and in my personal life have been impacted in recent times. Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. Help me stop men dying too young.
